Luxury called and Ulysse Nardin answered, with a $129,000 gem of a smart phone. In collaboration with Scientific Cellular Innovations, Ltd. (SCI), the premiere horologist created the Chairman, the world’s most expensive mobile phone. Only 1846 units of the Ulysse Nardin smart phone have been made, a true bastion of exclusivity for luxury connoisseurs. The number ought to ring a bell, it being the year of the founding of one of the most fabled brands in the watch industry. The high-end model features more than 3,000 hand-cut 17-karat diamonds, while a basic model comes without the glittery gems, but still fancy at the $14,000 price range. No matter the variety, however, each of the Chairman smart phones is hand-assembled and made of over 300 handmade parts. The Android phone boasts 32GB storage and a 3.2 touch screen, as well as all the refinements expected of an Ulysse Nardin watch.
