The ivory train, designed by a local designer, Andree Salon fashion house, billowed out in Bucharest, Romania’s capital, as she rose over the city in a hot air balloon. The fashion house spokeswoman told the Associated Press that the taffeta and other fabrics were brought from Italy and the lace was imported from France. And according to the Telegraph, 18 feet of lace, 15,420 feet of taffeta and 147 feet of lining were stitched together using about 2,000 sewing needles and 150 spools of thread to create the train and the gown.
