The constructional boom doesn’t seem to be over anytime soon! After the building of the tallest building, the biggest man-made island and the largest shopping mall, it is the time for the world’s largest underwater luxury hotel, the Water Discus Hotel. This spaceship-shaped building is designed by Deep Ocean Technology (DOT) and is the first of several planned projects across the region. Having underwater rooms offering views of life below the surface of sea, this hotel will surely amaze those who love exploring the depth of the deep blue sea. The hotel features two main discs, one above water and one below. There will be three legs with stairways and lifts within to make possible for the guests to plunge from beneath the surface of the sea to the sunshine above. The top disc is built high enough to survive tsunami and floods and the underwater disc automatically surfaces at once if any danger happens. The underwater section is 10 meters in depth and features 21 rooms adjacent to the submerged dive center and bar. In addition to the great view it offers, the designers will make use of the special lighting to illuminate the fauna and flora outside and guests will be also able to zoom in and take a closer look at the smallest details of creatures and landscape using macro photography. The Water Discus Hotel might not be the first hotel to offer underwater rooms, but it will surely break some records when it is done.
