Jimmy Choo and Artist Rob Pruitt Team Up

Contemporary artist, Rob Pruitt, has joined forces with Jimmy Choo in the creation of capsule collection of handbags, shoes and small leather goods. The fascinating products will be sold online and at the brand’s boutiques worldwide in November as they will be a part of Choo’s 2013 cruise collection. Pruitt is pretty much known for his sparkling panda bear paintings and large-scale dégradé canvases and he has created several original designs that were realized for capsule collection. The collection includes the iconic Jimmy Choo Anouk pump reimagined with the artist’s signature use of dégradé color in pink, orange and yellow overlaid with French lace.
Pruitt created an exquisite duo of angel and devil pandas symbolizing the dual personalities of the Jimmy Choo woman, and these feature heavily in the line of 19 styles of shoes, bags and accessories. He said: “The panda is a recurring image seen throughout the body of my artwork. It’s a symbol that reminds us both to tread lightly and to appreciate the adorable. They represent the harmony of yin and yang,” Jimmy Choo has previously worked with contemporary artists and photographers like Marilyn Minter, Richard Phillips and Nan Goldin.
